When my husband and I were dating, his mom made plain rice once for supper. I really don't like plain rice, so had planned to just take a small amount. Until I saw there was sauce on the table for it....and I was hooked. For months after we were married she would make it for me every time we went to visit. It was like a *need* which sounds silly I know....but it was just so good. My sister in law, Andrea would not be pleased if I did not give her the credit though - she was the original founder (not creator) of this recipe...and boy am I ever grateful! It's great on rice, chicken breasts, and chicken wings (my chicken wing recipe is similar but even better!).
3 Tbsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp water
1 Cup sugar
1/2 cup Vinegar
Cook on stove until heated through and sugar is dissolved. If you are using this for chicken breasts or wings - add some water and cornstarch to thicken it :)
SERIOUSLY SCRUMPTIOUS RATING: 4 STARS (I have to be fair - although it really is excellent...but I think again that I am the only one who LOVED it THAT much you know?!)
